From the book Sex, Leadership and Rock 'n' Roll by Peter Cook, this session is an exploration of how business cultures are the laid down repeated patterns (riffs) and how these are reinforced by stories, symbols and corporate mythology. Best practice advice on how to change culture is included, plus one or two musical interludes that bring this subject to life. You will leave with a good understanding of how to lever cultural change in your company by bringing together tangible and ephemeral factors into a coherent strategy.

According to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) - up to 5 million people in the UK feel 'very' or 'extremely' stressed by their work and 12.8million working days are lost to stress, depression and anxiety every year at a staggering cost of £3.8billion.
Samaritans unique Worklife programme helps people better manage their own experience at work. The session will equip managers with the skills and confidence to tackle emotional health issues in the workplace before they escalate.

With Employment Tribunal awards on the increase the stakes are higher than ever for employers! The increasing complexity and formality of Tribunal procedure makes the prospect of being involved in the process or appearing as a witness a daunting experience, even for the most experienced HR professional or manager. Morton Fraser Solicitors will facilitate this Mock Tribunal to provide employers with an insight into how the Tribunal process works and help them prepare in the event that they are faced with defending a claim. The session is also designed to assist employers avoid claims in the first place by raising awareness of common mistakes that employers make. Delegates will get to hear witness evidence, cross-examinations and legal submissions by the solicitors acting for the claimant and the organisation. There will then be a vote on the outcome before the Tribunal Chairman delivers a decision based on the evidence heard.
